Is the hard part over? Or just beginning?...

Seeing our record hit .500, this question came to mind... Has Jeremy Lin done the hard part? getting us to .500?... Or has the true challenge just begun?

The other questions that came to mind were... could Melo? or even Stat? have dug us out of the existential hole we were in? Or was Lin's humility and hunger the only antidote? I wonder if the scarred ego's of our stars for having started off so poorly, and the consequent embarrassment, was too much for them to do what Lin, and his loyal troops, have done... and we should in fact thank Yahweh, Lord, Baby Jesus or Buddha for delivering Lin unto us precisely when they went out of the lineup.

Given the state of things 7 games ago, .500 seemed a Lord of the Rings journey away. Doubts about roster balance, chemistry and coaching reigned, as did an epic sense of MSG dark-cloudedness.

It's been an absolutely fascinating ride getting back to .500. Each day witnessing Lin establish new career highs, including last nights career high in assists. And the ball movement, unity, joy... back cuts, lob passes, defensive rotations and wildly productive pick and rolls have also been a revelation.

So what do you guys think? Now that Melo and Stat are back or on their way back... which will be harder, having gotten to .500 from where we were? Or continuing the winning from where we are?
