The Hidden Meaning Behind Number 17?????

My fascination with Jeremy Lin continues to grow beyond imagination and reason. I, like many of you, have never seen an athlete come out of nowhere to become a star on Broadway. In fiction, I remember an author writing for Sports illustrated, who penned a story about "Sid," a walk-on" pitcher for the New York Mets (ow was it the Yanks?) who had pitching stuff out of this world. His quirk: He wore an old boot on his foot, the photos accompanying the article only showed the pitcher in form and not his face, and all photos had him pitching under clandestine circumstances. The article took the City by storm. At any rate, the piece was written for publication around April 1st, as an April Fool's Joke. After a plethora of letters to the editor wanting to know about this guy, the author admitted in the next issue that it was all fake. "Sid," he wrote, was short for Siddhartha--The Buddha. Lin, on the other hand, is no April fool's joke, no divine being ballin', no fiction--he is the real deal. His number has been called and he is ready. Let look at this number and how it affects key team mates.

Lin wears number 17: Amare wears number 1 and Carmello wears number 7, thus within Lin's number he orchestrates smoothly with STAT and MELLO.

Also within number 17, there's a relationship with the new Knick J.R. Smith's number 8. This can happen if we add 1 + 7. Thus, within Lin's number he can orchestrate smoothly with J.R.

Again, within number 17, if we reverse the order and minus 1 from 7, there's a relationship with the anchor of the locker room, Tyson (Don't call me Mike) Chandler, as we get 6. Once again, we see that Jeremy Lin's number relates to Tyson Chandler.

I Don't have any science or philosophy to back up anything I've written today, but I think its another angle for us as Knick fans to enjoy what we are witnessing with our Knicks, and this humble human being teaching us how to be a "human becoming."

Best Regards,

OwanrinGunda

Well done.

Also, I remember when he picked 17 and I thought it was a little weird because I couldn’t think of another basketball player that had that number.

This was slightly disturbing for a minute – but then I thought…. maybe Jeremy Lin is a player like no other. And the number 17 will be associated with primarily him.

And I thought of Joe Montana, and number 16. I’m a Giants fan and Montana will always be the enemy, but if you look at #16, you think of Montana, one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

Speaking of #16, Novak is also related to Lin’s number by being the next number down. The next number up is 18 – currently held by no Knick player – however, I will always associate it with Phil Jackson, who wore it with the Knicks on their last championship team – and went on to win some ridiculous number of championships as a coach.

If you divide 18 in half, you get 9, Jared Jeffries number. Interesting – it occurred to me that Jeffries is actually very much like Phil Jackson was as a player. And Jeffries will go to the mat for Lin. Man, he is Lin’s most loyal soldier.

So yeah. #17.

Clearly, it’s time to bring back Money Mase.

yeah, the Novak angle works as does Jeffries. I think we both can agree we are watching something special. I agree with you also about Jeffries playing like Phil….good observation.

Well

I’m Asian-American. I’m a west coast native living in the northeast. I slept on my friend’s couch when I didn’t have a place. My number way back in school was #17. Graduated college with a 3.1 GPA. I, too, was undrafted.

Then again, the only guy who wants my autograph is the FedEx guy.

Coincidence?

The square root of Jordan and Bibby’s numbers total 20 + 44 = 64 is 8, That’s right, Imam Shumpert’s number is 8.
If you combine that 8 with Harrelson’s 55 and add Stats 1 and take the square root of that, guess what? Shumpert again.
Another way to look at it is to multiply Novak by 4 and you get 64 and again the square root comes out as Shumpert’s 8
But wait, it gets stranger. If you multiply the total of Stat and Melos 1+7 by Smith’s 8 you again get 64, and again the square root comes out to Shumpert’s number.
Add to this that Imam Shumperts name is almost an anagram for I am a Mush trap and I think it everything becomes clear.

Iman Shumpert is not number 8...

you even acknowledge in your comment that JR Smith is #8.

Well then

I guess that means that JR Smith is the most important Knick.

bingo

his twitter is JLin7, his facebook is Lin7. I’m kind of surprised he didn’t go all VladRad and pick 77.
