Getting PG's on the floor have allowed our players to fall into roles (some more readily than others)... and this can make for an Academy Award winning movie. Amare Stoudemire, with what we've seen health and age-wise, is the only cast member who has to redefine his role. He is not, and will not be what he once was... but he can be extremely valuable if he re-examines his role.
Jeremy Lin- The Brains- Sets the pace, moves the ball, knows the situation and makes the decisions on the floor.
Landry Fields- The Glue- Good at everything, great at nothing, fills needs when he sees them.
Carmelo Anthony- The "All-Star"- Scores the ball, hits the big shots at the end of games and clocks. Our glory guy.
Amare Stoudemire- ??? who needs to become "The Oak"- Muscling for rebounds, hitting J's, and preventing dunks.
Tyson Chandler- The Brawn- Rebounds, defends, blocks, intimidates and demands defensive rotations from others.
JR Smith- The Wild Card- CAN hit big 3's, CAN steal balls, CAN explode offensively and defensively.. BUT WILL HE?
Baron Davis- The Vet- Has been there before... losing steps but brings savvy with bursts of flare.
Jared Jefferies- The Grunt- Whatever the defense needs, JJ fixes. Will do the dirty work no one else wants to do.
Iman Shumpart- The Bulldog- When he gets his jaws on an opponent, he don't let go. Shut down/Lock down dfender
Steve Novak- The Specialist (or Sniper)- 'Nuff said.
Josh Harrelson- The Goon- Brings laughs and feel goods with joyous rebounds, 3's and surprising D.
Bully, TD and Jerome- The Extras- who get decapitated by the lunatic killer.
