Old-Man Game

It's obvious that we're going to need a point guard to man this ship. I doubt Amare or Melo gets traded by next year. We dont have much to trade so the chances are that our pg will come from free agency with the mid-level. Lets take a look at a few of unrestricted pgs...

Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns – $11.7 million – Unrestricted
Raymond Felton, Portland Trail Blazers – $7.6 million – Unrestricted
Kirk Hinrich, Atlanta Hawks – $8.0 million – Unrestricted
Jason Kidd, Dallas Mavericks – $8.6 million – Unrestricted
Andre Miller, Denver Nuggets – $7.8 million – Unrestricted
Chauncey Billups, L.A. Clippers – $2.0 million – Unrestricted
Leandro Barbosa, Toronto Raptors – $7.6 million – Unrestricted
Goran Dragic, Houston Rockets – $2.1 million – Unrestricted
Baron Davis, New York Knicks – $1.4 million – Unrestricted

It's an interesting bunch of guys to say the least. Easily we can probably mark a couple more off of this list. Felton wont be coming back and neither will Billups or Kidd.

Steve Nash has been on our wishlist for toooooooo long, what makes this year any different? He's up in age but i haven't seen much of a decline. He would probably make us a contender right away but maybe it just was never meant to be.

You guys can speculate on the other guys but my first choice is Andre Miller. He's not happy coming off the bench in Denver and would love to start on a team like the Knicks. He has been extremely underrated his entire career. He has also been remarkably healthy his entire career. He is beyond crafty with the basketball and shoots a high percentage. He's getting up in age but can still play with the best of them. He simply knows how to play this game and backs down from no one. He can also throw the opp and finish at the rim. No he's not the quickest guy and can't shoot the 3 ball, but I for one have seen enough 3point shots at the Garden. If Nash still isn't ready to finally put on a Knicks Uniform, I say give Andre Miller a two-year deal and give him a spin.

Some of you may be skeptical of him but understand that he has an old-mans game and it isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

i love dragic's game

would also like to vote against barbosa and half-vote against kirk hinrich.

but kidd, nash, miller, felton, dragic and davis would all be good by me.

would super love it if davis got healthy, and we were able to have davis AND nash or dragic or someone. i know andre miller is on some, starting or quitting type shit. but hey.

lol i like to watch him play to but

our team is made to win now not in the future. we need someone to step in with experience. Our frontcourt doesnt have the largest window

our cap space has an even smaller window

A guy like Dragic could be ready by now...

Has played with Nash which gives him some good experience. He’s more a roll of the dice, but his youth and quickness are that impressive.

Would rather Miller than Davis, even just for the reliability element. But as we’re seeing with LIn, a PG with the intangible quality of selflessness is VERY important, and guys like Davis don’t do that. Felton is always welcome. Barbosa isn’t really a PG. Kidd might be done, and Hinrich I’ve always liked, but he’s also injury prone.
