The trade deadline is a few days away and I thought it might be interesting to take the pulse of the community to determine which team we could end up with on March 16 would give us the best chance to win a championship in either the current season or next season. I've created a poll with 3 options, one of which is the status quo and the other two involving trades by March 15th. For purposes of this poll, ASSUME THE TRADES WILL GO THROUGH. Just select the option you think would give us the best chance to win a chip now or next season.

OPTION 1: Status Quo, no trades are made by March 15th and we're hoping the team gels. If not, trades are possible in the future but they are unknown.

OPTION 2: Amare is traded straight up for Garnett. At the end of this season, Garnett's contract expires so Knicks will have roughly $20m of cap freed up. The team could use that money in any number of ways which I will leave to your judgement.

OPTION 3: This involves a blockbuster 3 team trade where Melo/Tyson go to Orlando and Lin/Amare go to Nets. The Knicks receive Dwight Howard, Deron Williams and Hedo Turkoglu.

So now put on your GM hat and again assume the trades would go through. Which option do you believe would best position Knicks to win a championship this season or next season?
