Dolan is the heir of a massive Cablevision empire. He owns MSG. Owned the Wiz, since failed. Owned a couple other businesses, since failed. That's no knock off him. No points without turnovers. No profit without gamble.
He's had a drug problem. Since rehabilitated.
His father, when asked why he allowed James, to inherit the CEOship, he answered," He was the only one who wanted it."
Cablevision employees unionized, after which, Dolan spoke to the press. otherwise he was silent.
So if you grab all the psyche profiles from this info, you get a undisciplined gambler. He's intellectual, really likes novelty and new ideas. He's locked down all information into a tight control. Centralized power is good and all but he may be running too many companies to pay attention to what's really important.
He'll never see the problems the Knicks face. He will only flag it as a problem if the Knicks miss the playoffs. In many ways, Lin was the worst thing to happen to the Knicks because it gave Dolan the illusion of success.
That's pretty much his psychological profile in the nutshell. He'd definitely be in the talks for dwight. He'd package Tyson off with Amare in a heartbeat. But, seriously, would you want to trade into the Knicks the way they are right now? Or ever?
So what will Dolan do? Nothing. He's going wait till the season is over. And give the GM and coaching reins completely to Phil Jackson. Face it, without Phil Jackson, who in their right minds would want to play for NY? How many careers have NY completely destroyed?
