Evening, friends. Mike D'Antoni is gone. The press conference announcing the move just took place-- James Dolan made a statement, then bounced without taking questions. Mike Woodson is the coach of the Knicks for the rest of the season, and said rest of the season begins tonight against the Blazers. The Blazers, of course, are plenty dysfunctional themselves, so this'll be a fun battle to see who's in worse shape.
Woodson suggested in the press conference that he'd change some things with the way the team runs, but he hasn't had a practice to do anything and, as he said, will be coaching pretty much on the fly tonight. When prodded by Marc Berman, he mentioned hitting Carmelo Anthony in the post a bit more and getting Amar'e Stoudemire more touches. We'll see.
This is your game thread. This is Blazer's Edge. As always, please don't post photos, .gifs, or illegal streams in the thread. And please, please, just be civil and kind to one another. This has been a weird day for everybody.
Tip-off's at 7:30. Go Knicks?
