So far Lin hasn't shown an ability to hold his counterpart point guard's points below the yearly PER average.

This generally corroborates Basketball IQ's findings that Lin is slightly better than Stockton and slightly poorer than Nash at similar times in their careers. While it does not show that Lin will ever reach those lofty levels, it is a good place to be in statistically. He has to work on his defense and his 3 point percentage, etc etc. But he's already much better than say Brandon Jennings over at the Bucks.

(of course, Brandon has more years as a PG than Lin, and never went thru the college rigor but did have an extra year playing in an Italian league)
