damn, that sucked.

Just took a walk, went to get some food and had a chance to cool down a bit. Some initial thoughts after the jump

First off, if we lost by 1 or lost by 30... the series is 0-1. All is not lost and Monday is a new day.

3 people I look at as doing a big negative to the knicks today:

1) the refs - that much is obvious and I am glad to see some in the national media are taking notice. That 20-2 ref aided run killed the game and everything else is a direct result of that. But... anyone who thought the refs werent gonna be wearing heat shirts under their stripes gtfo cause you are lying. And the game was called much better the 2nd half. The knicks could have gotten this game to respectability.

2) Melo - Im sorry but that was a pathetic display by our superstar. He has some chances to make up for it coming up and I hope he does cause if he doesnt play like a top 5 player then we have absolutly no shot. He wanted this... he should be stepping up.

3) Woody - I thought he did a very very poor job tonight. Melo was not getting the ball. As the coach, he needed to find a way to get him shots (and shots for novak). The way he let JR just shoot/dribble us out of the game was crazy. We all saw him not on tonight, the way he let JR run the show was strange. Leaving Chandler out there was also a very bad call. I mean... he looked really really bad. Nothing good came from his min, and he should have shut Chandler down much earlier then he did. Finally, WTF is his deal with Landry. I will take credit for calling his hate of Landry and love of JR min after MIke D quit. Landry looked good in his 5 min out there during the first half, then comes in and makes good passes.Landry should have been out there for a good chunk more time tonight. Woodys hate for Landry makes no sense.Now, I assume BD was hurting, and not having a PG kills this team... but tonight was a poor showing by Woody.

This game sucked but monday is a new day. Hopefully Chandler can get healthy. We just need 1 game in MIA and to take care of our home court. We need melo to step up, and Woody to control smith and we have a shot.

On to the next one.
