Well, instead of a swift, violent mauling, this was a gradual, agonizing death. The Knicks defended a bit better, took better care of the ball, and recovered from a succession of Miami runs, but they just couldn't match up. The defensive rotations and rebounding were too spotty and the offense was stagnant and uncreative.
