Obviously, this is very big news. Mike Woodson is out. Phil Jackson is in. Knicks are guaranteed a ring after 39 years of drought. Take the jump for all the juicy details
I thought my parody skills were up to snuff. I was also under the impression that the P & Ters were too sophisticated to think for a nanosecond that a Fanpost with that information could possibly be authentic and not a clear lead in to snark.
Obviously I was wrong on both counts.
The parody was that Berman used a misleading headline to draw traffic to his incredibly stupid article - a few hundred words based entirely on his own feverish imagination passed off as some deep insight into why we don't already have Phil Jackson coaching the Knicks. I used that parody to explicitly declare his intentions.
Clearly I did not succeed.
I actually thought it might bring a smile to someone's face on a sunday morning. But apparently there are enough folks who thought that I was trying to use that headline to draw attention to my writing skills - which was not my intent at all.
Oh, well.
