Nets fan here. Whats up Knicks fans, let me first start off by saying I come in peace. I know you are probably thinking to yourself why is this Nets douche on P&T? well I came over here to give my opinion. First, I don't think the Nets should or are converting Knicks fans to Nets fans because its stupid. Brooklyn has been dying for a team since 1957 and we moved to the most populous borough in NYC. If we need fans that bad that we need to convert Knick fans then thats pretty sad. I don't think attendance will be an issue and i think the first Brooklyn-New York game is going to be historic. Second, Knicks fans have every right to diss the Nets. While we do have a good young core of players, we still haven't made the playoffs in 5 years. It seems the Knicks and Nets are never good at the same time but now I believe a Brooklyn-NY rivalry will be competitive and our teams will be playoff caliber, as the Knicks already are. Enough rambling, just to sum it up im excited for this rivalry. Now I know a lot of Knicks fans will still look down on the Nets and you have all the right to, I just want to have two competitive teams in NYC and create a rivalry unlike any other.
