Hey, cool! The NBA All-Rookie teams were just announced, and the foremost of those teams includes our beloved Iman Shumpert. Here are the full teams, if you're interested:
First Team: Kyrie Irving, Ricky Rubio, Kenneth Faried, Klay Thompson, Iman Shumpert, Kawhi Leonard, Brandon Knight
Second Team: Chandler Parsons, Isaiah Thomas, MarShon Brooks, Derrick Williams, Tristan Thompson
I suppose there are seven people on the first team because the last three guys were tied with 40 voter points? No idea. This doesn't really mean anything, of course, and people will have their objections to the voting, but whatever. Particularly since he got left out of the Rookie-Sophomore game, it's lovely to see Iman get recognition for being good at sports. I suppose it's also a testament to how much he improved throughout the season. Here's a cool li'l fact from Alan Hahn about Shump's selection after Landry Fields made the First Team last season.
Congratulations on the selection, Shump. Have yourself a celebratory chimichanga or something, then please get right back to rehabilitating your knee.
