We've been having over a week's great weather here in Denmark. When I say great, it usually means over 20 degrees Celsius and with several days of sunshine. On this side of the earth that usually means sunshine from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oh, yeah...
So people start crawling out from their hibernation. Shorts and sandals get broken out, the local football (soccer) fields get used, people start cycling around, rollerblades put to use and miracles happen - SOMEONE uses the basketball courts in town!
This picture was taken while we strolled along the waterfront in Aalborg (pronounced Ohl-bor). The guy shooting was unfortunately wearing a Mavs jersey - oh the horror!

This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend in the States, right?
In Denmark it's Pentecost Weekend, so we had Saturday, Sunday and Monday off from work. Since I have a husband and daughter who are nuts about geocaching, we spent the last three sunny and warm days visiting the northern most city of Skagen (pronounced Ska-yen), Jutland (the region I live in) to participate in several events.
Look what I found...
Yup, another one of those multi-purpose facilities - this one used for basketball, tennis and football (soccer), I guess.
And since I might as well share pictures from this place...
This picture was taken at 4:15 a.m. Pentecost Sunday. It was an awesome sight and watching the sunrise on Pentecost Sunday is a Danish tradition I've had on my bucketlist.
I did not get to "plant the flag" (whatever THAT means, wwert), but I did get to show the Knicks colors.
Hope you all had as great a weekend as I did. More nonsense another time - maybe from Hamburg, Germany in July.
