Let me start off by saying I have an irrational love of Kurt Thomas. The guy flat-out willed himself into a consistent double-double guy during his time with the Knicks, and he represented the rugged, all-out energy New York Knicks that I remembered from my first days as Knicks fan. He was, in my mind, the antithesis of all things Eddy Curry. Was he as good as I remember? Probably not. And now he's 40. But Kurt Thomas is the kind of guy who can still pull down some rebounds in limited minutes, and I just love the thought of having him on the bench. He, Camby or Chandler should sit next to Amare at all times, just in case some of that defensive intensity could be transmitted by osmosis. I can certainly live with a Thomas for Double-J swap. And the Knicks even threw in a pick, just like I knew they would

As for the rest of the deal...I'm not ready yet...I'm just not...no...please...can't process...please, no. Don't make me hate a Kurt Thomas deal.
