First of all, I'm happy that everybody's okay. That is good. Now, the news, via The Southampton Patch (and written by Taylor Vecsey. Vecsey.):
Jason Kidd, who just signed with the New York Knicks, was arrested on Sunday morning on an alleged drunken driving charge, according to Southampton Town police.
Details are still emerging, but Southampton Town police confirmed that the basketball star was arrested during the midnight shift.
Kidd, 39, was arraigned on a misdemeanor DWI charge on Sunday morning in Southampton Town Justice Court and released on his own recognizance.
Wonderful timing, Jason. Nothing like a DWI arrest to round out a fantastic weekend of Knicks news! Then again, the weekend's not over. There's still time for more hijinks! C'mon, Raymond Felton! Get caught stealing baguettes from a bakery or something!
By the way, there's a Summer League game again today at 4. I'd totally forgotten about that. Nothin' like some Artsiom Parakhouski post moves to cheer us up, right?
