So, barring some wildness between now and the end of the pre-agency moratorium, the Knicks have their top two point guards lined up for next season. They've also got James White ready to join and try to crack the rotation. Cool. That leaves New York with a bunch of roster spots still to fill and-- depending on the details of the Jason Kidd signing-- either the $3 million mini-MLE (or full MLE if they just don't give a shit about anything) or a potential sign-and-trade package of small contracts, plus some minimum deals with which to fill them. Who else is out there?
- Marcus Camby gets his own bullet because he's actually going to meet with the Knicks sometime soon. Camby's headed to Miami on Saturday (BOOOO DON'T DO IT), then New York soon thereafter, according to Jonathan Feigen. (Update: Marc J. Spears says Miami and New York are the frontrunners for Camby's services, which makes sense, given that those are the two places he's visiting.)
- Also still available/newly available: Randy Foye (who'd be Tommy Dee's pick, and apparently Wikipedia's, too), Lou Williams (revealed today that he won't be returning to Philly, what with their new Nick Young habit), Jerryd Bayless (now a UFA). Pablo Prigioni still exists, too. Elton Brand's gonna get amnestied, too, but that ain't happening.
- For those concerned with 2013 free agency: If you missed it, Greece just got eliminated from Olympic contention by Nigeria. Kostas Papanikolaou (holy shit! He's in the SB Nation auto-tagger now!) and Georgios Printezis both played pretty nicely, though. Papa hit a huge three that kept Greece in it down the stretch.
- Update: Kidd says he's gonna wear number 5. Bill Walker shakes his fist.
And that's all. Camby, as far as I can tell, is the only guy reported to make direct contact with the Knicks in the near future. I'll be sure to update if there's more! <3
