Hi guys! This is my first post ever so bear with me.
Anyway, I just wanted to talk a little bit about Landry and what you think the Knicks will do with him.
I have a strong feeling that they will match his offer even though everyone is saying it is not likely. Just some observations I have had so far:
1) Other than JR, which other SG have the knicks FO and such publicly stated they wanted to pursue now that the free agency pool has settled down? (I know there is Foye, and Mayo still in the talks but that was only speculation around twitter and what not)
2) Jason Kidd decided to take Jersey number 5 instead of 2....hmmmm
3) Jeremy just tweeted and then quickly erased:
@landryfields u think we should keep @tysonchandler in the smart triangle?
(he was referring to tysons bodyissue photo and probably how it is kinda shameful for their group lol)
Maybe I just like Landry and I am finding every possibility and chance that he might be back. But what are your thoughts on him and would you want him back despite his large contract?
I mean dolan has the money, and right now our SG position is really thin, and JR is taking a loooong time to come back. Personally, if it comes down to it and Landry is the only good, serviceable player left from whoever is available, I would match the offer despite the contract.
Our entire roster at the moment only includes 2 players that are under 25: Lin and Shump. I am just worried about our health and how we can keep up with the OKC's of the league who are all so young and talented.
Do you think it would be a bad move for the Knicks to match the offer?
