Is it possible that keeping Lin and adding Felton could have caused chemistry issues? Don't get me wrong, I loved Linsanity and Lin's humble character and aggressive play. I also am one of those who feel that Lin has much upside potential. I must admit however that there is some chance that Felton may have outplayed Lin in practice through camp. Could you imagine the uproar from fans if Lin were here and did not start? I believe that coach Woody has the balls to play whoever is playing best. There is no guarantee that Lin would have been as successful in a slower half court offense. We have at least seen Felton play "the right way" under Larry Brown with far less surrounding talent. It is possible that Felton could have just fit the offense better. Since JR did mention that Lin making that amount of money on the Knicks could have caused some friction, what if he were making that from the bench? Now personally, I believe that if a player is making what he agreed to and signed for than it should be none of his concern or business what someone else makes, but I know that stance is rare nowadays. I am happy for Lin. His hard work and dedication to the sport over the years (from childhood up) have created the opportunity for him to be a multimillionaire. Its not like he was 6'9" in highschool and projected to be in the NBA since 6th grade like some of these other celebrated pretentious phenoms. The fact that he's making that money from a team that cut him the same year seems extra sweet to me for some reason. Lin will probably struggle with a young team in Houston, but he will not have to struggle with the never ending, nerve wracking media of NY or the lofty expectations of the fanbase, or the primadona superstar ego of (enough said). Lin could very well be in a great place FOR HIM, with a team that (now) says they believe in him and put their money where their mouth was. I think the Knicks have a decent PG rotation considering they are not looking for major points from that position. Heres hoping this move works out best for everyone! Go KNICKS
