I had a sick feeling in my tummy that the Knicks were catching the sub-.500 Celtics on the upswing. Boston, as several teams have done before, shook New York's offense with physical, trapping defense and the Knicks, as they do, totally lost their heads and made heaps of dumb, untimely errors amid miserable defense and sluggish, iso-heavy offense down the stretch. Carmelo Anthony played easily his worst game of the season while Paul Pierce drilled his usual spate of sneering dagger jumpers.
