March Notes - Atlantic Crown Slipping

Stay connected for news and updates

The Knicks play 18 games in March.
- 7 home games, 11 away.
- 10 against teams playing over .500 basketball.
- 8 against teams playing under .500.

The Nets play 15 games in March.
- 4 home, 11 away.
- 6 against teams over .500
- 9 against teams under .500.

Discounting specific match-ups, etc., it looks as though the Nets have our Knicks quite firmly against the Atlantic Division ropes. Aside from winning all of their gimmies, the Knicks almost certainly have to beat few very tough teams merely to keep pace.
Amongst other strong teams, the Knicks will face a slew of upper-echelon Western conference contenders. OKC, Memphis, Denver and the LA Clippers would be headline-worthy victories, to say the least.
Joe Johnson's sore plantar may be our only hope.

In case you were wondering about the 2nd seed in the East, the Pacers play 16 games in March.
- 7 home, 9 away.
- 6 against teams over .500.
- 10 against teams under .500.

Barring a dinstinct change in momentum, the 2-seed seems quite well out of reach. And the Heat schedule, well, do yourself a favor and don't look into that.
