The Pros and Cons of drafting Hardaway Jr.

The Knicks selected Tim Hardaway Jr. from Michigan State with the 24th pick of the draft. In this surprising draft I was even more surprised to find out that the Knicks actually drafted one of my favorite prospects in Hardaway Jr. I've followed him most of his Wolverine career and I hate to say this but he is frustratingly good! I only hate to say this because I'm sure everybody has seen the right away comparisons to J.R. Smith and how Tim Hardaway Jr. is inconsistent and we should of drafted down for Trey Burke..(Really guys..?) but this pick of Hardaway Jr. might be a really beneficial draft choice for us. Say J.R. chooses to run away from the bright lights of the Mecca and goes to some crappy team that throws him big money. We still have a great role player in Hardaway Jr. and a very much younger player also. He fits our system well and can come off the bench with effective scoring.

Pros : Athletic, has a good outside shot, pushes the ball on transition, nice crossover.

Cons: Poor shot selection, settles for threes, doesn't drive when the lane is open.

I'm sure there's more of both Pros and Cons but these are the most stand out ones. Tell me if you think Hardaway Jr. will be a bust or boom of the draft.
