The Knicks needed a PRESENCE, an enforcer à la Oak or Mase, a rebounder, space-maker, intimidator. MWP is all of that, with some of the Rodman-like eccentricities added on. He could be just the one to add some much-needed (!?!) glitz for the team, like what Clyde brought, or, it could be a distraction--though I doubt that; too many well-adjusted heads in the locker room.
I hope this doesn't mean they'll give up on KMart. He should be one of the afore-mentioned well-adjusted heads.
And where to put Bargnani? Should he AND Stat both be coming off the bench? With J.R. coming in late, on the mend, who's going to be the shotgun off the bench? The only sure starters are Melo, Raymond Felton and Tyson Chanddler; and I don't see Pablo's role as anything but point guard, so that leave possible 6th man role open for...Bargnani? Stat? MWP? Shump? TH2 isn't ready yet, neither is C.J. Leslie Are the Knicks done or are they still looking?
