Phil needs to bring Crawford to New York

Phil Jackson needs to do what ever it takes to bring Jamal Crawford to the big apple. Jamal Crawford, a two time Sixth Man of the Year winner is one of the best shooting guards and scorers in the league. Crawford, 35, is the type of player the Knicks need in their offensive scheme. Jamal is averaging 15.8 point per game for his career, mainly coming off the bench as the sixth man. If the Knicks do get Jamal, they will add a second prolific scorer behind Carmelo Anthony. Jamal would likely come off the bench and be the second units main go to guy. He would also likely be on the floor, down the stretch in crunch time situations.

Jamal Crawford is no stranger to New York and the Knicks organization. He played for the Knicks for five seasons, from 2004-2008. He started majority of the games he played in while playing for the Knickerbockers and averaged double digits in points in all five seasons. His best season as a Knick came in 2007-2008. Crawford started in 80 of the Knicks 82 games, averaged 20.6 points per game, while shooting 41% from the field, 35% from three, and 86% from the free-throw line. That same season he scored his career high 52 points, hitting 16 shots consecutively. He also made 8 three pointers in a row that same night.

Jamal is obviously not wanted in L.A. anymore and doesn't want to be there either. The Clippers is loaded at the guard position. The Clippers acquired Lance Stephenson, Dahntay Jones, and Wesley Johnson this off season. Not to mention they already have shooting guards, J.J. Reddick, C.J. Wilcox, and Austin Rivers. Phil Jackson needs to do what ever it takes to get Crawford to New York, and put some type of euphoria in Knicks fans hearts.
