A New Project for Marbury
The King of Side Projects (Stephon Marbury) needs a new one. Otherwise he is going to run this Knicks team into the ground with his selfishness. Since he's already conquered TV, the shoe industry, and streetball, I think he should try his hand at late-night radio.
He can give relationship advice. Like, "go get a random Knicks intern and take her in the back of a truck". It'll be great!
What projects can you think of Starbury?

Patrick Ewing Jr.!
Ayo! The Scion himself is a Knick! Unfortunately, this means we'll have to part ways with the draft rights to Frederic Weis.

The Knicks Schedule
We open at home against Miami, and then play 81 other games against the other 29 teams in the league, alternating home and road dates. Balkman comes home Dec. 28th, and, although Ball Don't Lie says it's probably a glitch, our last game of the season is a home game vs. NJ in Minnesota.

Well the Taurean Green and Bobby Jones era went by mighty fast
Both have been waived. They couldn't have waited long enough for me to write a "getting to know Bobby Jones and Taurean Green" post?

Nate Robinson's number retired
Not in the Garden, not at his alma-mater, but in Vegas. No word on if Charles Barkley's tab in Sin City is a candidate for number retirement.

Knicks want Jerome to retire; Big Snacks having NONE of it
"The New York Knicks are trying to convince big man Jerome James to retire, the New York Daily News is reporting.
James earned more than $1 million per minute of playing time last season, and the Knicks are hoping to part ways with the former Sonics center. He appeared in just two games last season and sat out the final two months due to soreness in his right knee.
James, who will earn $12.8 million over the next two years, has every intention of playing next season and is even considering joining a group of veterans for voluntary workouts this weekend in Las Vegas."
Jerome? Playing next season? Volutary workouts? This?
Bizarre and unexpected...just like the man himself

Where is Brian Greene? I demand to see Brian Greene! SL Roster released.
"Knicks property:
Nate Robinson - 4th year, MVP of last year's summer league
Renaldo Balkman - 3rd year, coming off a disappointing sophomore season
Mardy Collins - 3rd year, suddenly buried deep among veteran guards
Wilson Chandler - 2nd year, coming off scary knee sprain after solid finish to season
Danilo Gallinari - Rookie, first look at the sixth overall pick in his North American pro debut
Interesting addition:
Von Wafer, 6-4 G (Portland/Denver last season) - Former Florida State guard originally a second-round pick of the Lakers in 2005 and has bounced around the NBA (Clippers, Nuggets and Trail Blazers) and NBDL ever since.
Others:
Dan Grunfeld, 6-5 G (Stanford) - played in Spain this past season
Antonio Graves 6-2 G (Pittsburgh) - played in CBA this past season
Marcus Hall 6-2 G (Colorado) - undrafted rookie
Delonte Holland 6-7 F (DePaul) - Chandler's college teammate played in Italy
Brandon Hunter 6-7 F (Ohio) - also played in Italy
Antoine Johnson 6-1 G (Albany) - from Berman's alma mater (d'oh!) and played in Turkey
Paul Miller 6-10 F/C (Wichita State) played in Poland and previous Knicks camp invitee
Anthony Roberson 6-2 G (Florida) - played in Israel
Zhang Songtao 6-11 C (China) - dude is listed at 212 lbs.
Here's the schedule. All games will be played at the Cox Pavillion at UNLV and will be televised on MSG Network. Note: the times are Pacific Zone.
Monday, July 14 vs Cleveland, 1 p.m.
Wednesday, July 16 vs. San Antonio, 1 p.m.
Friday, July 18 vs. Phoenix, 1 p.m.
Saturday, July 19 vs. Charlotte, 1 p.m.

Brand Headed to the Atlantic
With Philly acquiring Elton Brand, Toronto adding Jermaine O'Neal, and the Nets getting...Brook Lopez?...the Atlantic Division has certainly stepped up the caliber of big man. Don't forget about the Garnett and Randolph acquisitions last year, either.
