Recap: Miami vs. Washington

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Dwyane Wade dropped a game-high 24 points and the Miami Heat clobbered the Washington Wizards, 97-77, at American Airlines Arena.
Michael Beasley netted 19 points for the Heat, who wrapped up a three- game homestand with a 2-1 mark. Udonis Haslem finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds for Miami, while Shawn Marion had 12 and 12.
Antawn Jamison had 15 points and 10 boards for the Wizards, who returned to their losing ways following the club's first win of the season Wednesday over the visiting Utah Jazz. Washington was the last team to record a victory on the young season after opening the year with five straight losses.
Washington is still searching for its first road win, however, and fell to 0-4 away from home with the loss.
Miami ended the first quarter of play with a three-ball from Daequan Cook for a 27-20 advantage and the Heat increased that lead to 49-36 at the half behind a balanced scoring attack.
Washington opened the second half with a a pair of three-pointers, and a slam from Caron Butler cut the lead to six early on. But the Wizards went ice cold from there and managed only a single free throw over the final 7:20 of the third.
Having outscored the Wizards by 10 in the third, the Heat cruised to an easy victory through the final quarter en route to the 20-point win.
The Wizards have lost 11 of the last 14 as the visitor in this series but won all four meetings with Miami a year ago...The Heat are 16-5 in the past 21 matchups overall in the series...Washington guard Antonio Daniels sat with a sore right knee...The Wizards' Nick Young and JaVale McGee each had 13 points.
