Josh Howard scored 21 points, and Jason Terry added 15 points off the bench for the Mavericks, who are 9-0 all-time against Charlotte. Jason Kidd had 10 assists and two points, and Erick Dampier had 11 rebounds and six points for Dallas, which has won two in a row after a five-game skid.

The Mavs started the game with a 15-0 run, and the Bobcats never recovered. A Howard three capped the push, which was fueled just as much by Charlotte's ineptitude on the offensive end as it was by Dallas' starting hot. An Augustin floater 40 seconds later finally got the Bobcats on the board, but Nowitzki three in the final seconds of the frame gave the Mavs a 28-10 lead entering the second quarter.
The Mavericks lead reached 20, at 55-35, by the intermission, and Charlotte never threatened to end its winless streak against Dallas in the second half. The Dallas lead tapped out at 25 points early in the fourth quarter.
