Game Thread: Knicks at Clippers- 11-14-07

Yo. The Knicks play the Clippers tonight at 10:30. Stephon Marbury is in L.A. but I have no idea what his deal's gonna be. Z-Bo is back as well, and I assume he's suiting up. Should be interesting.

Until then, I'm watching South Park.

Do you think maybe girls keep their balls on the inside of their tummies?

Leave your comments on South Park and the game ahead as the night goes on. I'll be here for the thread and probably for a recap tomorrow. Get them W's! Does that sparkle with all of you?

UPDATE: Stephon Marbury is in uniform, but will not start. It's weird how quickly this all transpired.

Some weird things
  1. Somehow, I feel myself forgiving Marbury. Damn.
  2. I have this strange feeling that the Knicks are gonna get a rousing victory tonight.

I KNEW I RECOGNIZED THAT VOICE.

Jonathan Coachman used to be on the WWF/WWE.

Conspiracy Theory
Stephon flying to New York and back to LA overnight, an attempt to bring the team face to face to adversity the way getting punched in the face by Carmelo did last year?
Think about it:
The Knicks have no shot against Phoenix, so not having Steph doesn't hurt, on the other hand, different for the Clips.
Isiah looks strong after this, and willing to bench people performing badly.
Everyone thinks about how shitty they look without Steph, thus, everyone needs everyone else, team unity.

Did I make my point? I think it makes no sense, but conspiracy theories are fun.

We look stagnant offensively
if only we had a tremendously talented point guard who could either distribute or score sitting on the bench for no apparant reason. I'm a dreamer.

at the same time
can a guy mouth off to/posibly punch his coach and get to start the next game?

THat sucked
Arguably the least entertaining quarter of professional basketball I've ever seen. Weird that the Knicks rattled off 7 points in the two minutes Stephon Marbury was on the court after scoring 10 in the first 10 minutes.

Just Win baby
If they make the playoffs and Steph plays well. People will forgive. Just at what happened with Carlos Zambrano this year and A-Rod and the whole batting 8th thing last year. Win cures all.

word
I'm already forgiving. But that's me.

If Isiah can I can too
It's not like Steph and Zeke popularity with the media can decrease so that's not a concern really.

wtf
Curry? Crawford? Just let Steph run the point.

this is hideous.
The shooting and ballhandling skills exhibited in a game of King of the Court I participated in today are far superior to what the Knicks and Clippers are showing now. And I was like the fourth man left in that game, so you know it was of exceedingly low quality.

RIP my hopes and dreams
I'm think I'm gonna average like 10 points, like 12-13 dimes, like 2.. 3 assists and about 4 -5 rebounds

what the fuck
i mean jesus christ was channing frye the glue that held us together how do we have 4 potential 20 point scorers and cant do shit against a brandless clippers. freethrows killed us and it wasnt even really curry. this can get ugly then people realize i hate to say it but teams like this always seem 2 end up getting imploded and just taking core guys

by antnyk on Nov 15, 2007 1:11 AM EST reply actions

by the way
this prob wouldnt bother me as much if we were truely terrible, cuz i think everyone thought it was gonna take a while for this team to mesh so we may start slow. but u take away the suns game and every game was fuckin winable. give me the last 2 on this road trip and we will b sitting pretty

by antnyk on Nov 15, 2007 1:13 AM EST reply actions

don't hold you breath
with the way they've been playing, the knicks would be lucky to win in sac-town.  no way they go to denver and win.
Ewing with the step...YES! and the foul!
