Game Thread: Knicks vs. Mavericks: 12-10-07

The Knicks are at home tonight to take on the Mavericks. Stephon Marbury will probably not be in uniform. I have a bet with my girlfriend that they're gonna lose by 50 or more.

Awesome! Get them L's!

(At the same time, aren't we due for one of those random bursts of competence the Knicks sometimes experience? Wouldn't mind that either.)

Harrassment
Knicks dropped the appeal of Anucha settlement, and reach agreement with her on a figure at the request of the Commissioner. She gonna get paid.

You know we're screwed
when the Mavs are 6 for 14 from the line and we're down 13.

ugh
it's bad but not even bad enough to be masochistically entertaining.

i may turn this off.

Greetings...
to my fellow sadomasochists i.e. Knicks fans! How come nobody on the team ever cuts to the hoop without the ball? I can't remember the last time a Knick scored on one of those type of backdoor plays...

I can't believe the Knicks Just let Josh Howard go
He makes a three and they don't play any defense on the next attempt. Simultaneous with the observation that the knicks are last in op fg pcg.

And embarassing themselves in front of the rev. jesse jackson no less

Blocked shot?
Looked like an air ball.

For a non-knicks fan
It's definitely the most interesting game on NBA league pass.

I hate to say this
but maybe somebody should start a fight or something, ANYTHING to get these cats playing a little less pussyfied!

by HUSTLE HARDER on Dec 10, 2007 9:15 PM EST reply actions

you KNOW something's gonna happen
that's the good thing about knicks. James Dolan and the knicks franchise is an nba embarassment, sure, isiah can't coach but it's possible he's still around because he draws the fans ire away from the organization

I've read a few fantastic articles about what it is to be a knicks beat writer. It's comical, morbid, and depressing but at least the fans have something to be passionate about that transcends your average underperforming team.

Kudos to Fred Jones
That would've been nice if he hit that. He's bringing the crowd alive.

Time for the Knicks
to comeback and get close and then fall short.

Comeback!
Fuck the Knicks, yo. Fuck these fucking comebacking all the time in games they clearly aren't going to win.

That being said, let's go Knicks.

i hate the knicks
b4 this blog came along i considered myself the biggest knicks fan next 2 spike. now i see that their are other sufferers out there just like me. I cant remember a year as dissapointing as the 1 we r watching. they seem 2 upgrade the team, look great in summer league great in preseason. then we fucking peaked during the denver game and its all down hill. r team is made up of nothing but inconsistant players who r on the verge of being something special but fall short. idc how good curry or crawford looked in the past your not gonna win ball games with them untill consistantcy starts. crawford seems like he still has hope but eddy is just not cutting it. im pretty sure none of us really even like randolph. the entire time i watch him i play im moaning at every action he does yet somehow the ball seems 2 go in a decent amount so im not as frustrated. Lee and balkman every1 loves but their complinmentary players they dont mean shit without support of the stars. we need stephon back, i like jones but i like jones in small doses hes simply not that good. Q to me is done he really is. he cant score plays ok D and rebounds ok. basically its a more polished humpty with a 3 point shot. im sure i could rant more but i truely dont even care, this team is a burden to watch at this point yet we're such fans we never stop and its just terrible. im not sure what the solution is fire isiah trade steph trade eddy idk, idc at this point if your name isnt david lee i have no feelings towards u leaving and would not mind a shake up what so ever. sorry if u read this i needed 2 vent and judging by the season im sure more will follow

this blog is the only knicks resource i have
considering that i refuse to watch/listen or read anything about them until isiah is fired.

i just wanted to say that i love "venting" posts.

Ewing with the step...YES! and the foul!
