Around SBN: Recapping Granger's Desert Dagger Bar-right-arrows

Game Thread: Knicks at Magic- 12-26-07

Wow. With Marbury still gone and the Knick frontcourt faltering, you figured Isiah would bench the unproductive Eddy Curry and start David Lee (or Randolph Morris if he knows whats good for him). Wrong. According to that article, the new lineup will be Jamal, Q, Jeffries, Lee, and Curry. You read that correctly. Fred Jones (perhaps the only thriving Knick of late) and Zach Randolph (the Knicks' best rebounder) were shafted in favor of David Lee (a poor defender) and Jared Jeffries (virtually useless). Allllright!

The Knicks are in Orlando tonight with a 7 p.m. start. I'm still out of town, so if someone would like to recap, I'd appreciate it. Get them W's.

Check out Third Quarter Collapse for the Magical perspective on tonight's contest.

The Knicks are kicking ass. Still, fire Isiah.

Yeah.
I have enough material for a good recap, but I'm not sure it's worth it.

david
love him, had a good overall game, but he looked tired out there, esp. toward the end. anyone else noticed this over the last few games? i think he just has trouble getting excited on such a shit, boring-ass team.

eddy curry playing 8 minutes. its like i just woke up from a wonderful, wonderful dream...

lee
i just dont think he has the tools to be a starting player yet. then again, i didn't see him tonight, so you know better than i do.

nah
he was great tonight. he played terrific d on howard and got a shitload of offensive boards. he also took 3 midrange jumpers. may have missed all 3, but it was clearly mental. he hesitated before each. once he gets that in the flow of his game, he'll hit em.

but again, he looks tired this year. he's getting blocked way more than usually, kind of plodding up the court.

still, easily our best option with z-bo in the frontcourt.

curry
isiah sure does turn on his "franchise" players fast.  not that i have any problem with it - curry is useless.

i haven't mentioned this before, but you know who i kinda feel bad for?  crawford.  i know he's a gunner and he takes shots that make me want to break my TV sometimes, but it looks like he's really trying out there.

i wish i didn't have so much invested in this relationship with the knicks.  i keep trying to break up with them but i find myself on seth's blog talking about them after each game.

Ewing with the step...YES! and the foul!

Hmm
The Chicago Bulls are always on the look-out for that "low-post" presence?
