Game Thread: Knicks at Bucks- 4-7-07

First of all, the Knicks lost last night to Minnesota. I'm not really watching the game anymore, because it's just upsetting, but the big news was that the Knicks came back from a big deficit but couldn't pull out the victory (not really big news at all), and Stephon Marbury's foot started acting up again. Also, Eddy Curry had 9 turnovers, which is quite a feat.

With Marbury out (hopefully), today should begin the "fuck it" segment of this season. I don't wanna see anyone else get injured, so I wouldn't mind if David Lee and Eddy Curry sat for most of the game. A starting lineup of Robinson, Collins, Balkman, Jeffries, and Jerome James, with Kelvin Cato and Randolph Morris coming off the bench should be the rotation from here on out. That's not gonna be the case, but if anyone gets hurt I'm gonna bite somebody.

Anyway, it's the Bucks tonight. The Bucks are possibly the most lifeless, nondescript team in the NBA but, for some reason, Charlie Bell is like my favorite player in the league. I have no idea why. He just is. I want him on the Knicks. Actually, I don't think he'd be a bad fit here. We could use a guy who can hit threes and play good on-the-ball defense. But what number would he wear? David Lee already wears 42. He could switch it around and go 24. People do that all the time. Shit, I'm rambling.

This is a game thread, so post any comments about the game, jelly beans, lima beans, Mexican jumping beans, and Beanie Babies as the night goes on. I'll be back later. Go Knicks. Peace.

24-42
Lee's number in college was 24, but that's retired by Bill Bradley, and he reversed it to 42.
I'll just assume you were one of those kids that got raped at Pop-a-shot by Charlie Bell, and that spurred on your life-long love of him.
I said this on the last thread, but since you stopped putting old logos on each game thread, your photo-choosing-creativity has become pretty impressive, assuming that's Young Buck.
Also, seriously, Cato-Morris '08. I want that rotation you mentioned in my life.

For the love of all that is good
I don't care about winning this game, and I probably won't watch. But our starting lineup contains Mardy Collins and Nate Robinson. This starting lineup reminds me of the He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named era last year.

Knicks media coverage
So I'm running errands in the ride today. I've got WFAN on and Jack McCallum is being interviewed by Evan Roberts. What follow is some of the most disingenuous commentary on the Knicks in a while. Evan asks about 2-8 record since Zeke's extension. McCallum starts to basically kill the Knicks compostion and they players saying that they were basically the same team prior to that extension that they were before. No mention is made of the fact that 3 of the top 5 Knicks have been dressed in the street clothes during this time, including a guy who is they're best rebounder, best perimeter defender and 2 leading scorer. It was absurd.

Oh my fucking holy shit wow
Eddy Curry just hit a 3 to send the game into overtime. And it wasn't just a 3, it was with .9 seconds left, over a leaping Dan Gadzuric, with the team down 3 AND IT WAS A PERFECT SWISH!
HOLY SHIT!
New poll, same question, but with one more possibility, and I would pick the Curry 3 as my new favorite clutch shot.

dammit
I knew I shoulda waited till the end of the season for that poll.

Patterson just hit his bank three. I love to watch them celebrate. I love it. Because I know what they don't know.

BAM!
Curry has better form than Mardy Collins. Eddy leads the league in 3 point percentage.
