Vintage Jerome James

You gotta love Jerome James. Well...no you don't. But the man they call "Big Snacks" is back in the picture, perhaps reluctantly. From Marc Berman's blog (and inexplicably accompanied by a picture of Malik Rose:

James is already lobbying not to play. The team is on a three-game winning streak and he doesn't want to upset the Big Apple cart. However, James will be needed tomorrow in Miami vs. Shaquille O'Neal. Burly James lives in Miami in the offseason.

"I'm not superstitious but I am a firm believer if it ain't broken don't fix it, so right now it ain't broke," James said at the morning shootaround in Washington. James has a $30 million guaranteed contract.

You read that correctly, the man who plays basketball as a career for an obscenely fat paycheck is finally given the opportunity to play and he doesn't want to. Psyched to have the big fella back. Game thread coming later.
