Thursday Chuditches

Heyyy. Happy Thursday, y'all. It's a much-needed off day for the travelin' Knicks, so let's get to some assorted gems from the internet (web gems?).

  • With the Knicks in Portland for the first time this season, I'm not looking forward to hearing all about the Zach Randolph deal and the Blazers' subsequent turnaround. Doesn't sound like Isiah is either.
  • A fancy, mathematical way of telling us what we already knew: Malik Rose sucks. (Incidentally, by this same measure (WoW), David Lee is our most productive player. (Tip of the hat to TrueHoop)
  • Magic Johnson on the Knicks:
"They're going to make the playoffs. I think that they're going to be a tough eight or seven seed, too."
    Seth on Magic Johnson:
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA(pause to catch breath)HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  • Isiah Thomas isn't looking to make any deals, and is also looking to deal for Jason Kidd. Fair enough. What's that? You see a little inconsistency there? That's funny...
  • By the way, if Jason Kidd is ever a Knick, I might eat my own spine.
  • The chuditch, or Western Quoll, is a badass nocturnal predator native to Western Australia.
  • In response to this headline...ok! Where's he at?
That's it for now, cousins. The Knicks are in Portland (I couldn't think of a cool nickname for Portland. P-Town?) tomorrow. Get psyched. Peace.

"1. Maybe the two players that hit him have a problem. Carmelo has had violence problems in the past and Blackman has been a disappointment as a first round pick."

P-town...
... is Providencetown in New England (near Cape Cod).  Not to be mistaken with Providence ("The Big Rhodie").

So how about for Portland as The Big Swoosh?  I mean, do they have anything besides the Blazers and Nike?

i hate kidd
truely have hate in my heart for him. but hes seriously fuckin amazing at what he does. he still really cant shoot for shit and isnt exactly a defensive force but he just completely changes the way a team plays. he makes players better which is more then any knick since like idk ewing.

would not mind a randolph trade for him. i feel like curry would work well with kidd and your just never gonna go far with zbo being the guy on your team its just never gonna happen.

by the way if the nets do a blockbuster trade with the knicks that would b just fuckin weird and irrational. right up zekes alley!

i also saw carters name in the article. im willing to have the assasination meetings at my house if he joins the knicks.

I disagree...
Kidd's getting up there in age... if Kidd were to play for the Knicks, we'd have a good... give and take, 2-3 years with him at the helm. Would we even make the playoffs? I don't think so. Kidd had a great defensive and offensive presence in Kenyon Martin, and a young Richard Jefferson when he ran the point for New Jersey's back to back Finals appearances. And even after  those years, he had/has a much better then Vince Carter to join the fray with Jefferson. Kidd trying to set up plays for Eddy Curry and/or Zach Randolph would be a disaster. Curry already can't catch alley-oops properly. The only real positive out of Kidd playing for the Knicks comes from a marketability standpoint, not on the basketball court.

I'd love to be proven wrong, though. Just looking at this from an honest point of view. Kidd in New York sounds appealing, but just doesn't seem like it would fit at all.
