Around SBN: The Pros and Cons of an 18-game NFL Schedule

Still not buying it.

Yesterday, we came to the conclusion that, unless Curry or Randolph was involved, many of the recent trade rumors involving the Knicks just wouldn't work. Now we get the rumor that, in fact, there is talk of Eddy Curry and Jerome James going to Sacramento for Ron Artest and Kenny Thomas. This is not going to happen. Sheridan says as much. It was clearly the Knicks' idea, and makes absolutely zero sense for the Kings. Steve Adamek puts it well:

Gee, sounds like a no-brainer for the Knicks if they're looking to dump big men and bucks. Except Sacramento already has Brad Miller, just spent a lottery pick on Spencer Hawes and is looking to create salary-cap room, not fill it.

Not enough for you? How about the word of a die-hard Kings fan:

A big man who can't defend or rebound, and a salary sponge signed to a deal one year shorter than K-9's. No, no, God no.

I think we'd all like to see the EZ Money tandem hastily disbanded, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. It'd take some uncharacteristic managerial savvy for Isiah to properly pull off a deal like that. There are two sides to every trade.

Rather not have Artest anyway
Overrated as hell. He's good at steals, but he's always getting in trouble. Putting Artest in NYC would be like putting a rabid dog into a locked room with a pack of small bunnies: chaos.
