One More Deal To Chew On

From Marc Berman, a new Zach Randolph deal to ponder. This one is a multi-player affair between the Knicks and Nuggets:

It is believed names discussed in a potential deal included Linas Kleiza, Eduardo Najera, Steven Hunter and J.R. Smith for Randolph and another Knick. The Knicks appear most interested in up-and-comer Kleiza.

Now that's interesting. Kleiza is a physical guy hell of a player and Hunter and Najera are both solid defensive guys. For now, without having looked at how that'd work financially, that sounds pretty nice. This is something of a longshot rumor, but a very intriguing one indeed...

Update: Thoughts?

uhh
Why would the nuggets want to ever do this????? the EZ money tandem didn't work here why would the CAMBY...Z tandem work. I wouldn't do it especially with the season marcus is having, f that, too many people wanting the ball on one team.

i mostly agree
although i would add that camby is mostly a defensive center who doesn't demand the ball. that seems like the ideal companion for z-bo. still, i think this is a longshot on the denver end.

If it were Curry OR Marbury with Chandler...
I'd go for it.

But Zach is in my opinion one of the best players on the team.

Either way, Getting Linas and Najera would be GREAT. J.R. Smith and his attitude would fit well with Isiah. He's a great shooter, but Karl puts him in his dog house because he's... a bit of a dick. I can imagine Isiah would love to try and get him, to see if he can mold his ego into something else. Don't know much about Hunter.

wtf
how could anyone not think this is amazing trade. we rid ourselves of zach's contract, get some solid guys back...this would be a fucking boon.

seriously guys, stop pretending we're gonna be good with this team. rebuild is the only option. zach cannot be part of it. linas kleiza and the massive drop in financial obligations should be.

i agree
kleiza's quite legit, and najera and hunter are two good defenders. that said, there's no way this is actually happening.

This is a horrible idea for the Knicks
because Kleiza singlehandedly puts them over two contemporary essential team limits -- the one white dude limit, and the zero foreign dudes limit.
