From the NY Daily News:

David Lee has been a one-man trade rumor for months, but Knicks president Isiah Thomas apparently has no plans to move the team's most popular player.

Thomas spoke recently with Lee's agent and informed him that he is not trading the third-year forward. If Thomas is true to his word, it will be difficult for the Knicks to acquire Sacramento's Ron Artest because the Kings would insist on including Lee in a proposed trade.

"I spoke to Isiah and he said he's not going to trade David," said Mark Bartelstein, Lee's Chicago-based agent. "David isn't going anywhere."

We've been deceived before, so take it with a grain of salt, but this is great to hear. David Lee was our Knick of the Year and he's the one future star that's always been a Knick. I hope Isiah is true to his word.

(Note: When Lee finally hits a slump this year and I'm damning his very existence, remind me that I said all this.)
