Nate Robinson: "I love...colors."

Yeah, I can manipulate quotes too! I told you guys I'm ready for the MSM...

Alan Hahn at The Knix Fix has a preview up of an upcoming feature on Nate Robinson. Nate Dogg's been busting his ass this summer, garnering MOP honors at the Vegas Summer League and showing up early at the MSG Training Center to sharpen his game. All signs are pointing to Robinson's maturation as a point guard and a teammate, and he's saying all the right things. A few lines straight from Nate (or str8 from N8, if that's what you're into):

"I just want to play. Period. Regardless if I'm going to be out there playing point guard or the two . . . Whoever's out there, I just want to play. I want to be part of the team that is going to make the playoffs and send New York on a wonderful ride."

Good. Good.

"I couldn't imagine seeing me in another uniform. I love the Knicks. I love the colors, they're my high school colors - orange and blue - I don't know what else to say. I couldn't see myself on another team."

Someone keep note of that in case we ever want to trade him. Bobcats it is.

Anyway, check out that blog post and the full article on Sunday for the rest of Nate's words. Color me convinced that Nate's making the mental strides necessary to be a leader. I originally thought he might be the second cut from this over-stuffed Knicks roster, but it's looking more and more like someone else has got to go...

What?
