Nate Robinson will start tonight.

From Barbara Barker at Newsday (if I knew her, I'd call her "Bar-Bar Binks" and she'd probably hate me), we get tonight's starting lineup for the preseason game against the Nets:

The Knicks' coach said Thursday that he likely will open the game against the Nets with Robinson and Chris Duhon at guard with Al Harrington, Jared Jeffries and David Lee up front. Robinson will take the place of Wilson Chandler, who has started the last two games.

I think most of us fancy Nate as a sixth-man spark plug, but it's preseason and I fully support mixing and matching lineups. What I'd really like to see is Darko Milicic starting and playing significant minutes. Each of these Atlantic Divison rivals boasts a pretty solid starting center, and I'm interested to see how Darko would fare in 30-odd minutes against one of them. Could he put his size to good use without getting into foul trouble? I'd love to find out.

Meanwhile, both Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari have been "benched". We're still waiting on either one of them to fill a boxscore one of these nights. Can they get it done off the pine?
