"Wilson's a restricted free agent and I'm going to sign him," Walsh said yesterday. "He's a helluva player."
Walsh said he could not come to terms with Chandler in October because he was unsure of the pay scale or salary cap for a new collective bargaining agreement.
Definitive stuff from the boss which is a rare sight. Wilson Chandler's breakout season so far certainly earned him a contract and luckily his restricted free agent status allows Donnie to prevent teams from yoinking him away from the Knicks.
