Evening, friends! I hope you've all had excellent Saturdays full of gifts and laughter. Tonight brings us New York's second preseason game of the year and, oddly enough, their last one for a while. The Knicks will face the Celtics at 7:30 tonight at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. It's just exhibition, but even preseason games between these two teams have gotten inappropriately serious in the past.
Last we heard, Amar'e Stoudemire was questionable to participate in tonight's game, and I'm gonna go ahead and assume he's out until the next game on Friday (Update: Yup.). James White, who missed the first preseason game with a sore hamstring, practiced the other day and will probably play in this one. He might even start at shooting guard, unless Mike Woodson wants to give Mychel Thompson another shot in that position. Still no Marcus Camby or Rasheed Wallace.
Yeah! It should be a lovely night of basketball, and hopefully not the kind of meaningless game that morphs into something competitive and tense. I'm ready for basketball, but not quite ready for basketball that even feels like it counts. Take it easy out there, gentlemen.
Tip-off's at 7:30 on MSG. Please do not post large photos or illegal streams in the thread, and please be kind to one another. Oh, and don't forget to check out Celtics Blog for some green-tinged views.
