Amar'e Stoudemire had his surgery, will miss six to eight weeks.

The Knicks announced this evening that Amar'e Stoudemire had his left knee debridement surgery today. Ian Begley reports:

Man, when you put it that way...that's really a while. A bit more:

Amar'e Stoudemire consulted the Suns team doctor for a second opinion. His surgery was performed by #Knicks team doctors.

According to the #Knicks' timetable, Stoudemire will miss at least the first 20 or 21 games of the season, depending on when BK makeup is.
