Well, the miserable bench play in the second quarter put us on edge for a moment there, but the Knicks collected themselves at halftime and just steamrolled the Hornets in the second half. Trap game successfully avoided.
Carmelo Anthony led the way with 29 points, most of them coming in an absurd first quarter (reminiscent of that one Nets game last year), then another stretch of hot outside shooting, tightened defense (except for that second quarter), and remarkable possession control carried them to the blowout win.
