Evening, smellicopters. The Knicks finish their three-games-in-three-nights stretch with a home contest against the Nets tonight, and hopefully it isn't as heartbreaking as the previous two games. It might not be easy. The Nets, despite being severely short-handed, have been playing pretty well of late. Deron Williams is healthy and doing neat things, and Anthony Morrow is coming off a ridiculous 42-point, 8-11 from downtown performance last night against the Timberwolves. If Landry Fields struggles to check him and other Knicks don't help out, Morrow could single-handedly beat the Knicks and/or burn down Madison Square Garden tonight. The Nets'll have our old, dear friend Shawne Williams poopin' in the corners as well.
But, hopefully, the Knicks aren't deflated from two close, tough losses against good teams. Hopefully, they come out tonight pissed off and vindictive and attack New Jersey's short-staffed front line (no Mehmet Okur and no Brook Lopez means Extra E, Shelden Williams, and Kris Humphries comprise the starting front court) while playing plenty of the vigilant defense we've seen in spurts the last two nights.
We desperately need a win tonight, and I'd imagine these Knicks do too. If the Knicks finish this stretch 0-3, everybody will be very, very sad. (And by "everybody" I mean a fraction of a percentage point of people. Pretty much everybody who doesn't like the Knicks hates them and wants us to suffer.)
So, here's your thread and here's NetsDaily (if you visit, be nice, and be nice to Nets fans that stop by over here). Remember not to post photos, .gifs, illegal streams, or old high school report cards of Supreme Court justices in the thread. Tip-off's at 7:30.
