Game Thread: Knicks at Hawks- 3/30/12

Evening, friends. The Knicks are in Atlanta tonight to face the Hawks in a game with all sorts of underlying story lines. Mike Woodson will be making his return to Atlanta. The Knicks will be without Amar'e Stoudemire (bulging disc) and Jeremy Lin (increasingly mysterious knee injury) for the third game in a row, looking to win their fourth straight in spite of all the injuries.

The starting lineup will be the same as it was in the last couple of games: Baron Davis at point guard, Iman Shumpert at the two, and Carmelo Anthony at the four against Josh Smith (probably the match-up to watch).

The Knicks, as you probably remember, destroyed the Hawks about a month ago in New York. More recently, the Hawks find themselves in the sixth seed with a narrow edge over the Celtics, but have lost two straight games. They've also got Joe Johnson healthy, which wasn't the case the last time these teams met.

Oh, and it's Friday, so the curse of Robert Randolph is working against the Knicks this evening. May they fare better than they did a week ago against the Raptors.
