Game Thread: Knicks vs. Heat- 4/15/12

New, comments

Good Sunday, stewards! We've an exciting afternoon ahead of us. The Knicks are at home to face the Miami Heat, a pretty good basketball team. This game has the usual playoff implications-- New York could further separate themselves from Philadelphia and Milwaukee and gain Boston and Orlando with a win-- and some added intrigue because it's the Heat. As things currently stand, the Knicks would face Miami in the first round of the playoffs, so this could be a bit of a warm-up battle. The Heat have pretty soundly dismantled the Knicks so far this season, but this is a pretty different squad than either of the teams Miami faced earlier in the year. We'll see how it goes.

A few informative tweets:

Brian Windhorst:

Dwyane Wade, Udonis Haslem, Mike Miller back today for Heat vs Knicks. Ronny Turiaf (hamstring) out. Haslem starts at C.

Jamie O'Grady:

Woodson: "Shumpert is starting."

Al Iannazzone:

Carmelo starts out bosh. Landry Fields gets LeBron, Woodson said.
