How 'bout them BayHawks?

While the Knicks grapple for playoff position, their D-League affiliate-- the Erie BayHawks-- is already a couple games deep in their first round series. We at Posting and Toasting consider ourselves "mostly indifferent" BayHawks fans, but when our beloved Jerome Jordan is a member of the team, said fandom is upgraded to "casual" and/or "opportunistic". When Jerome got reassigned, I promised that we'd check in on him and the BayHawks during their playoff run, so let's do that.

As it happens, Erie is tied 1-1 with the Austin Toros in a best-of-three series after losing 97-87 in Austin yesterday. Jerome recorded 19 points on 6-6 shooting, six rebounds, and four blocks in Erie's win, then had 14 points and seven boards in the loss yesterday. Here's a thing Jerome said:

"It's win or go home," Erie rookie center Jerome Jordan said. "We want to keep playing."

YEAH! That's the spirit, Jerome. Our big friend and the BayHawks will be back in action for a decisive Game Three in Austin tonight at 8:30. I'm pretty sure you can watch it for free on this Futurecast joint, if you're so inclined. Get 'em Jerome!
