Check out this post I typed in two seconds after the final buzzer! There'll be a short recap later, but here's the playoff stuff right now. The Bobcats, try as they might, couldn't beat the Magic, so the Knicks can't reach the sixth seed. The Sixers beat the Bucks tonight and have the same record as the Knicks right now. New York holds the tiebreaker with Philadelphia, so here's what's up for tomorrow:

- If the Knicks beat the Bobcats, they will be the seventh seed and play the Heat in the first round.

- If the Knicks lose to the Bobcats and the Sixers lose to the Pistons, the Knicks will be the seventh seed and play the Heat in the first round.

- If the Knicks lose to the Bobcats and the Sixers beat the Pistons, the Knicks will be the eighth seed and play the Bulls in the first round.

I cannot fathom a scenario in which the Knicks-- even if they rest all of their players and trot out a lineup of potted plants-- lose to the Bobcats. They'll almost definitely play the Heat in the first round. READY YOUR SCIMITARS.
