Hey! Hi. With no games for the next 48 hours or so, I figured now would be a good time to go over some video from last night's win over the Magic. New York generated their first big lead at the beginning of the second quarter, when a lineup of four bench bros and Landry Fields did a great job of pushing off Magic misses (and there were plenty) and scoring quickly in transition. Toney Douglas in particular received quick outlet passes and raced as far downcourt as possible (Tommy Dee always refers to getting "below the free throw line") to pinch the defense, then kicked back out to the perimeter to create clean outside looks for friends trailing the ball. J.R. Smith and Steve Novak appreciated those outside looks and splashed almost all of them. It was rather Seven Seconds Or Less-y and incredibly productive.
Thanks as always to the SBN Studios folks and to mySynergySports.com for the video clips. I am not responsible for the dubstep, but I do think it suits a J.R. Smith transition three pretty well.
