It won't be official until July 11th, of course, but now the Rockets and Jeremy Lin have actually agreed to an offer sheet.

David Aldridge:

Source confirms Rockets have committed a 4 yr, $30M sheet to NYK guard Jeremy Lin. NY will have 3 days to match when moratorium ends next wk

Woj:

Lin offer sheet will be a three year deal, with team option for the fourth, league source tells Y!

Woj again:

Offer sheet for Lin will pay him $5M in year one, $5.2M in year two and $9.3M in years three and again in team option year four, source says.

Hey, that's not nearly as bad as some people said it'd be. So, will the Knicks, indeed, match?

Marc Stein:

Source with knowledge of Knicks' thinking: "They will match any offer on Lin up to 1 billion dollars"

Word. So, there it is. New York's point guard depth will be Jeremy Lin, followed by Jason Kidd. They'll almost definitely be taxpayers in a couple years, but they'll also have a nice expiring contract to deal (and a team option) if Lin doesn't pan out for some reason. Cool.
