The schedule for New York's 2012-2013 season was released a while ago, and we've heard the specifics of several exhibition games, but for whatever reason, hadn't seen the full preseason schedule until today. Well, here it is:
Thursday, October 11: at Washington (7:00 PM)
Saturday, October 13: at Boston (XL Center, Hartford, CT, 7:30 PM)
Friday, October 19: at Toronto (Bell Centre, Montreal, QC, 7:30 PM)
Saturday, October 20: at Boston (Times Union Center, Albany, NY, 7:30 PM)
Wednesday, October 24: at Brooklyn (Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, NY, 7:30 PM)
So, all on the road, probably because of the Madison Square Garden renovations. Cool. The real season, of course, starts against the Nets at the Barclays Center on November 1, and the Knicks' home opener is the next night against the Heat.
As I think I've mentioned, I've arranged to be in Montreal the weekend of the Raptors game, so I'll have some fresh, in-house takes on that exhibition action. Ironically, being in Montreal that weekend means I probably won't even be able to watch the TV broadcast of the next game in Albany, which is like 150 miles closer to where I live.
56 days!
